As a Digital Project Manager – Assistant Product Owner, I contributed to the pre-production phase of Orange Money integration within Cameroonian enterprises. The project aimed to develop and deploy a mobile money plugin for the local e-commerce ecosystem, enabling businesses to provide secure, fast, and user-friendly mobile payment solutions.
This initiative was strategic both for Orange’s digital transformation roadmap and for boosting financial inclusion in the Cameroonian market.My Role & Responsibilities
Within the Digital Project Team, I acted as the bridge between business stakeholders and technical teams. My responsibilities included:
Business needs gathering: Conducted workshops with business units to identify requirements and define priorities.
Specifications & user stories: Collaborated with developers to draft functional specifications and write user stories for Agile sprints.
Project planning: Structured project phases, monitored timelines, and ensured compliance with allocated budgets.
Cross-team coordination: Managed collaboration between integrators, developers, and business stakeholders to secure smooth delivery.
Technical validation: Executed API REST testing using Postman, ensuring compliance and performance.
User acceptance testing (UAT): Conducted business-side validation and collected user feedback to refine the solution. This project strengthened Orange Money’s leadership in the Cameroonian FinTech and e-commerce sector by:
Driving digital payment adoption among enterprises and consumers.
Contributing to financial inclusion through seamless mobile-based money transfers.
Positioning Orange as a key digital enabler in Africa’s growing e-commerce market.
